Microsoft Office 2019

In late April 2018, Microsoft officially started previewing the upcoming Office 2019 package, allowing business users to gain a sneak peek at the new features and changes that are due in the latest edition of the MS family.

As always, the MS Office suite is set to play a crucial role in homes and offices around the world, aiding productivity, organization, and collaboration in one fell swoop. Here’s all you need to know about the forthcoming 2019 version.

Microsoft Office 2019 Aimed At Businesses Not Using Office 365

Microsoft has heavily promoted the Office 365 package in recent times, but will use Office 2019 to plug the gap by targeting businesses that are yet to make the switch to the subscription service. It will include several features that have previously been associated exclusively with the Office 365 alternative. This shows acknowledgement by the computing giant with regards to businesses that prefer to buy the software outright rather than pay an ongoing monthly premium.

Office 2019 will still include the essential features that home users and businesses have come to know and love, with the following Apps and programs on offer:

  • MS Word
  • MS Excel
  • MS PowerPoint
  • MS Publisher
  • MS Access
  • MS Project
  • MS Visio
  • Outlook
  • MS Exchange
  • MS SharePoint
  • Skype for Business

Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that the Windows version of Office 2019 productivity suite will only run on the new Windows 10. A MAC OS version will be available for businesses to download too.

Office 2019 To Have Improved Inking Skills

The upgrades previously associated with the Office 365 suite relate largely to the improved inking features. These are seen across all of the Apps included within the package and include the roaming pencil case, pressure sensitivity, and tilt effects.

There are also improvements to PowerPoint courtesy of the Zoom and Morph presentation features. Likewise, Excel gains a timely revamp, allowing businesses to embrace new formulas, new charts, and Power BI integration.

Those features are aimed to enhance the user experience at the IT level as well as for the end users. Once again, this is primarily aimed for those that aren’t ready to make the switch to a cloud-based service. Even so, the MS Office 2019 package includes a few simple tweaks that should also encourage better collaborations for teams whether they are spread out across the building or the country.

Office 2019 To Provide Easier Management

Aside from the upgrades and changes to the general user experience, Office 2019 looks to make life a lot simpler going forward. With easier deployment for system administrators, businesses should have very little trouble when adding the latest patches and security updates. Again, this is something that Office 365 users have enjoyed for some time, so this should come as a major benefit for business users.

While the basic principles of the Office suite remain the same, the latest edition will generate a genuine shift towards the future, which is something all modern businesses can look forward too. If yours can’t wait, why not try the preview today?
